Foolish Churches Are Embracing Con Man Ken Ham
Exposing Ken Ham's Distortion of the Facts And Heresy!

By David J. Stewart | March 2019

Jude 1:3, “Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.”

As Abraham Maslow said in 1966, “I suppose it is tempting, if the only tool you have is a hammer, to treat everything as if it were a nail.” Apologist Ken Ham is nothing more than a con man who has exploited a niche in Christianity to become filthy rich. According to Charity Navigator, Answers In Genesis took in over $36,834,815 in 2017. Ken Ham's personal salary alone in 2017 was a lucrative $173,000 (The average surgeon gets paid $187,000 per year).

Not bad for a religious con man! In the eyes of Ken Ham, Kent Hovind and Henry Morris III, everything is about exploiting creationism to make filthy lucre! That is their nail. They walk around with a hammer of Young Earth Creation and pound everything they see with it! Talk about one issue people. And yet, respectfully, Pastor Clarence Sexton has publicly criticized young preachers who make too big an issue over the King James Bible, but I'm getting ahead of myself. Please read what I have to say.

I was frustrated today when I found a YouTube video, from February of 2019, featuring guest speaker Evangelist Ken Ham spewing his Young Earth heresy garbage from the pulpit of the Temple Baptist Church in Powell, Tennessee. Since independent Baptist churches are now foolishly promoting Ken Ham's charade, faithful Christians need to rise up and refute it, contending for the faith (Jude 1:8). I am contending for the faith, because it really matters what we believe!!! I listened to both sermons which Ken Ham delivered at the Temple Baptist Church in February 2019. I am surprised that Pastor Clarence Sexton has lowered himself to embrace a con man like Ken Ham. I really am! Here is the second sermon at Temple Baptist Church, in which Mr. Ham says some very good and accurate things, which adds credibility to his lies. Much of what Ken Ham says is true, which makes him all the more dangerous!

You see, the Devil knows that the absolute best place to hide a LIE is between two TRUTHS, because a half-truth in part can be defended with incontestable logic. False prophets often mix truth with error, and then focus on the truthful part of their lie, to woefully deceive you. The 9/11 attacks on the Word Trade Center (WTC) are a perfect example. The truth is that two commercial planes struck buildings 1 and 2, respectively. The deception is that it was really thermal charge explosives, carefully placed over months of time (planted by a professional demolition team) by the WTC security company that Marvin Bush managed for 2 years leading up to 911, that brought those buildings down. When anyone dares to mention the bombs, like the first-responder fireman themselves (who were legally silenced), the ungodly newsmedia only focus on the planes. Who can argue with that? 911 was the perfect half-truth, which is why the Luciferian elite got away with it! Your average knucklehead preacher today is so ignorant that he still thinks Shiite Muslims were behind the 911 attacks. Truly, 911 was an Inside Job! If your pastor dismisses that as a conspiracy, he is not right with God! The main quality of being a Christian is caring, as we learn in the story of the Good Samaritan, which I believe was Jesus Himself.

Likewise, many churches today are embracing Ken Half's half-truth deception. I am not against people, I am against heresy! I sincerely admire Brother Sexton's faithful years in the ministry, and his loyalty to Dr. Lee Roberson (1909-2007). I love preachers, particular Baptists, as I am myself! Albeit, we are at war spiritually with the Devil in the churches today. There are three different attitudes toward the age of the earth, as I see it:

First, there's the group who believe that the Bible is unclear either way, and where God is silent we ought to be silent, and they are fairly neutral in their views.

Second, there's the Old Earth Creation group, who believe that the Bible clearly teaches an Old Earth Creation, so they are adamant that the earth is very old, likely millions of years at least.

Third, then there is the Young Earth Creation group, who believe that the Bible clearly teaches a Young Earth Creation, who are adamant that the earth in only 6,000 years old, and dinosaurs co-existed with mankind.

These are the three basic doctrinal positions. I am in agreement with Pastor Curtis Hutson (1934-1995) on the matter, who leaned strongly toward an Old Earth view (a 6-part Bible study series on Demonology taught in 1974 at the Forest Hills Baptist Church in Decatur, Georgia), but was unwilling to argue the point with people. Dr. John R. Rice (1895-1980) was adamant of a Young Earth Creation, and taught that the dinosaurs were left behind during the flood. Dr. Kent Hovind claims there were fire-breathing dinosaurs which rode upon the ark, as he says are evidenced by ancient folklore tales in many cultures of fire-breathing dragons. What saith the Scripture? Well, that is the big problem, the Bible doesn't mention dinosaurs. The mention of “behemoth” in the book of Job in the Old Testament is plural in the Hebrew, which most theologians agree refers to a herd of Elephants or hippos. Only a desperate Young Earth advocate would wrestle the Scriptures to read more into this verse!

I wrote down 21 reasons why I believe in an Old Earth. That is what I believe. I won't debate with naysayers. You have a right to your own opinions. There is simply NO credible scientific evidence of a Young Earth! I used to be in the first group, thinking that the Bible is silent, so I was silent. It wasn't until I read Pastor Max D. Younce's (a faithful Baptist preacher in Minnesota who has been a pastor for over 50 years) insightful book that my eyes were opened. The book is titled:

The Truth About Evolution; Or, Don't Let Satan Make A Monkey Out Of You! (Dr. Max Younce)

I now strongly believe in an Old Earth Creation, but I am not willing to enter into heated debates with anyone over the matter. I am writing this article to preach what I believe to be the truth of an Old Earth; and also to expose Ken Ham as a greedy deceiver; and thirdly, to hopefully wake up some Christians concerning the retarded claims of Young Earthers concerning dinosaurs. Truly, all nuts don't grow in trees! If for no other reason, I would adopt an Old Earth view after seeing the insane dinosaur claims of Ken Ham and Henry Morris III. Albeit, if you take the Bible at face value, comparing Scripture with Scripture, and not just living in Genesis chapter one, I think the honest Bible student can only conclude an Old Earth. Just like the PreTribulation Rapture, and the Old Testament place of Paradise, nothing else fits doctrinally.

Con Man Ken Ham Promoted to Students At 'Crown Bible College'

It is tragic that the thousands of students at Crown Bible College in Powell, Tennessee are being subjected to this kind of deception. Ken Ham piggybacks on the authority of God's Word (truth), to lend credence to his mockery (deception) of God's Word, all to make a buck! Christianity began as a new birth! It became a philosophy in Greece. It became a culture as it spread throughout Europe. Christianity became an organization in Rome. And tragically, when Christianity came to America it deteriorated into a business! There has never been such widespread exploitation of Christianity to make filthy lucre as today. Con men are nothing new. In the centuries after Christ died on the cross, swindlers brought literal cartloads of chopped up wooden crosses into villages to sell to the people, claiming that they were buying a piece of the cross upon which Jesus Christ was crucified! Boy, I would want a piece of that too, wouldn't you? I may have just given Ken Ham a new idea for his money-generating circus show!

According to news reports Ken Ham's dog and pony Ark Encounter in Kentucky has fallen short of sales projections. Instead of the 1,400,000 annual visitors anticipated, they only had 860,000 visitors! Aw! Multiple that times the $50 per ticket that they charge and you get $43,000,000 in revenues. That doesn't include extra money for parking, souvenirs and food! I'd guesstimate that the Ark Encounter takes in at least $75,000,000 annually. Folks, the so-called “Ark Encounter” is nothing more than a big rectangular building with rounded edges. That's not an ark! When Noah built the ark, he didn't have dozens of government regulating agencies watching over his shoulder, dictating safety protocols and handicapped bathroom requirements! I've seen umpteen photos of Ken Ham's ridiculous ark and it looks nothing like the ark described in the Word of God. Ken Ham's ark looks like something out of a futuristic science fiction movie, more like the ark in the 2009 doomsday movie “2012.” What a farce!

I mean, check this out, Ken Ham's Ark has CINDER BLOCK WALLS!!! Uh, that cannot float! Nor is it an ark!!! Did you know that 700 WORKERS were employed at a cost of $120,000,000 to erect Ken Ham's ridiculous Ark Encounter! Folks, in the Holy Bible only Noah and his three sons were able to build the ark. I'm sure the wives helped out in many supportive ways. There were only four men! The Scriptures don't tell us if Noah's sons helped him, but I think it is very likely that they did. Could one man have built the ark? Did Noah employee local unbelieving men to help him, as did Ken Ham? Of course not! Hebrews 11:7, “By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.” Boy I love that last phrase, “and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.” Old Testaments saints were saved through and through by FAITH ALONE, just like saints are today. The only difference is that we have a much greater understanding of God's plan of salvation on the other side of Calvary.

Don't believe the garbage in the news that the Ark Encounter is hurting financially. They are making big money! How many millions of dollars is enough? Remember, the Ark Encounter was privately funded for the purpose of making profit! That is NOT Bible Christianity! The religious swindlers at Answers In Genesis are no better than the cult of Scientology, who lure people to have their attorneys write a living will to leave all their earthly possessions to them! (Read it for yourself!) Ken Ham wants everything you have in this world, and he lies to you, trying to convince you that it will all glorify the Kingdom of God! No, you're a fool if you leave your earthly treasures to a religious con man! You will be glorifying Ken Ham! Ken Ham is not winning souls to Jesus Christ, he is manipulating those who are already saved, and driving the unsaved farther away from the truth of the Gospel. There is nothing as offensive to a thinking person, than a deranged religious person who believed that dinosaurs co-existed with mankind 5,000 years ago! This is just one of many reasons why I believe in an Old Earth. The desperate dinosaur theories of Young Earth adherents are nothing short of ludicrous and insane! I tell you with all limited remaining sanity, and legitimate science to back me up, that DINOSAURS DIDN'T LIVE 5,000 YEARS AGO!!!

I can only imagine how inferior Noah's ark must have looked when it was completed. It took Noah 120 years to prepare the ark! God worked a miracle no doubt! Ken Ham explains how Noah's sons weren't born until later on, so Noah would have had to complete the ark in merely 70 years. That is an assumption made by Ken Ham. If we take the Bible at face value, Noah himself built the ark! God didn't tell Noah and his sons to build the ark, he simply told Noah. Certainly, our great God never commands any man to do something that He does not also empower him to do! Amen! Just as God Himself closed the door on the ark (Genesis 7:16), I think it would be logical to conclude that the Lord helped Noah along the way to build the ark, but the latter is speculation. Genesis 7:16b, “And the LORD shut him in.” It could also be that the ark was so incapable of staying afloat, due to Noah's lack of ship building skills, that God sealed them in and protected them. We do not know. What we do know is that, “the LORD shut him in.” Why would God have to shut Noah in, if Noah was completely in control of the circumstances? Interesting.

Ken Ham teaches speculation as if it were a fact! Mr. Ham's circus show cost private investors $120,000,000 to erect! What were they thinking? I'll tell you, they were thinking about getting very rich!!! Many Christians foolishly support Ken Ham for the same foolish reason that they always support the corrupt Republican Party, because they say just the right words regarding  moral issues. Despite every Republican U.S. President since Roe vs. Wade in 1973, every one of them has substantially funded the Hitlarian rooted (check out Margaret Sanger's close ties with Adolf Hitler), Planned Parenthood! Ken Ham speaks out against homosexuality, which is a good thing, and that causes Christians to let down their guard and better senses.

Most Old Earth Adherents Don't Believe in Evolution

In the preceding video sermon, Mr. Ham distorts the entire issue. I am going to expose this wicked con man! One popular tactic used by Ken Ham (and other adherents of the Young Earth cult, like Henry Morris III) is to ASSUME (Ass-U-Me) that everyone who believes in an Old Earth also believes that Evolution is true! They do this in a malicious attempt to discredit Old Earth adherents (e.g., Dr. Curtis Hutson - 1934-1995), degrading them to the level of unbelieving atheists who accept the blatant lies of Evolution. Dear reader, I do not know of even one Old Earth Baptist preacher who also believes in Evolution! Yet, Ken Ham is a theological liar who stoops low, distorting the facts in a desperate attempt to justify his speculation of a Young Earth. So that is the first lie told by Ken Ham, trying to portray Old Earthers as Evolutionists. In nearly every case Mr. Ham's assertions are simply untrue, and he is taking a cheap shot at truth-tellers. I do NOT believe in any form of evolution, neither secular nor theistic (i.e., God created everything and then it evolved)! Evolution is BAD SCIENCE!!!

Folks, if you unwisely listen to Ken Ham, he will have your brain all confused and wrapped around his lies! Today's pastors ought to be contending for the Christian faith, not inviting and honoring con men like Ken Ham at the Temple Baptist Church in Powell, Tennessee last month! What were they thinking? Ken Ham says it all boils down to the authority of God's Word, but he is using that truth to manipulate your mind into buying into his deception of a Young Earth, where dinosaurs were brought onboard the ark.

ABOVE: Ken Ham's insane dinosaur exhibit. Respectfully, Pastor Clarence Sexton supports this utter nonsense. Look what the display ridiculously says, “HE JUST needed TWO of THESE.” Are you kidding me? You mean to tell me that of the 700 dinosaur types that have been identified and named, Noah only took TWO OF THEM onto the ark? Folks, you are as cuckoo as Ken Ham if you believe this junk! Either Ken Ham is calling God a big liar, Who said to bring TWO of every kind of animal onto the ark (which means Noah should have brought two of every dinosaur type), or else Ken Ham is a big liar and dinosaurs never coexisted with men at all. You decide who the liar really is, God or Ken Ham! How could merely two dinosaurs preserve 700 different species? Ken Ham is nuts! Honestly, for Pastor Clarence Sexton to embrace and support this utter nonsense is disturbing. This is why I am compelled of an Old Earth!

Ken Ham's lunacy has actually strengthened my Old Earth views, blatantly showing how silly the idea of Young Earth really is. The fall of Lucifer and the angels didn't happen during the 6-days of Creation. This is further evidence of an Old Earth, and a pre-Adamic world without humans. God's Word never returns to Him “void” (Isaiah 55:11), yet “the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep” (Genesis 1:2b). It is clear that something happened between verse 1 and 2, which is commonly known as the Gap Principle. The only alternative is to believe that dinosaurs lived with mankind, which is as insane as anything I have ever heard.

When I lived in Chicago for 37 years, I often visited the museums. At the Field Museum, I saw in person, and you can still see, an amazing Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton discovered in South Dakota named “Sue,” which stands ceiling high at 13 feet, and is frightening to imagine meeting this creature while alive! If you are a thinking person, and believe that our great God would never subject humans to be dinner for such ominous creatures, then you have to agree that an Old Earth makes perfect sense. Science does not oppose the Holy Bible, nor does the Holy Bible oppose science!

The Bible Warns About Oppositions Of Science!

1st Timothy 6:20, “O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called.”

The preceding important Bible verse simply means that anytime so-called “science” contradicts the Holy Bible, it is false science! Evolution is false science! NASA and National Geographic have adopted the false scientific idea that the earth and moon were formed by two planetary bodies colliding with one another, and then millions of asteroids carrying frozen water crashed into the earth for billions of years to create oceans, rivers and lakes. And then mysteriously, somehow in ways they cannot even begin to explain, all of life evolved! Only a darn fool would believe such poppycock! For a bunch of rocket scientists at NASA, they're about as stupid as Solomon (the wisest and dumbest man who ever lived). NASA are a ship of fools!

A Young Earth view means that dinosaurs lived among man, which goes against science! It is foolish to believe that Noah, for some unknown reason, decided to leave all the dinosaurs behind. It is even more foolish to believe that Noah brought dinosaurs aboard the ark. Henry Morris III goes as far as to claim that God stunted the growth of the baby dinosaurs, so they wouldn't grow. Folks, these con artists are making millions of dollars, each paying themselves 6-digit annual salaries, with your wasted money. It is truly blood money, dirty money, filthy lucre! The Lord blew up in anger one time in the Word of God, when dishonest men turned God's work into a money-making scheme! That is exactly what Ken Ham is doing!!! Shame on any church and pastor that sanctions, honors and promotes such a wicked man! The Lord's anger is against the wicked who exploit God's Word for money! Ken Ham is about as phony a Christian, as are ALL Republican U.S. Presidents who merely says they are against abortion. Like Benny Hinn, Ken Ham will say anything to get your money!

I am familiar with how a 501c3 so-called non-profit organization works, which you probably aren't. HERE IS KEN HAM'S 501C3 FILING. Notice that Ken has amassed over $100,000,000 in revenues in just 5 years!!! THAT'S ONE HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS!!!!!! According to Christianity Today, the average church member gives about $1,000 a year in donations to their church. To be a little more specific, the average church size is 75 people (not factoring in mega-churches), and the average church income annually in 90,000. Over half the churches in the United States average 75 people in attendance each week. If we divide Ken Ham's $20,000,000 annual revenue by $90,000 we get 222. That means Ken Ham is taking money away from 222 churches each year! Think about that! ONE MAN, Ken Ham is receiving THE ENTIRE INCOME OF 222 CHURCHES!!! Ken Ham alone is receiving more money than 222 church pastors, and all related church expenses, for 222 churches each year! Folks, shame on Temple Baptist Church for honoring this horrible man! Get mad at me if you want, but you'll have to stand in line, because I am probably the most hated preacher on the internet! Praise the Lord!!!

“God pity the preacher that the world don't hate!” —Pastor Danny Castle

2nd Timothy 3:12, “Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.”

Again, I am familiar with how a 501c3 so-called non-profit organization works, which you probably aren't. I used to be part of one. The 6-digit cash salary that these men pay themselves is merely petty cash. They also get a company car, paid traveling (i.e., vacations around the world), all meals and expenses paid by the organization, a paid place to live, they pay no taxes at all, all expenses paid, and then some. Need I go on. Heck, some of them don't even receive utility bills. In other words, Ken Ham is enjoying and reaping plenty more of the $36,834,815 he took in in 2017, than merely his $173,000 compensation!!! In essence, that total sum of money is his to spend as the captain of his ship! If he wants a brand new car, he just buys it through his charity instead, tax free! I know all about charities, and how crooked they can be! You just have to make it all look good on paper to keep the government happy. There are all sorts of clever legal ways to live high on the hog off one's own charity. Who do you think pays for all of Ken Ham's travel expenses, as he lollygags around the world, enjoying the good life? Christians are the losers, but Ken Ham wins big!

Martin Luther Was Also a Con Men (It takes one to know one)

Furthermore, in the sermon video, Ken Ham cites Martin Luther (1483-1546) as a secondary authority, totally ignorant of the FACT that Mr. Luther died in his sins and is burning in Hell right now! Martin Luther alleged got saved in the year 1517, but just 12 years later he wrote in his heretical catechisms that Holy Baptism and Holy Communion are mandatory to get to Heaven. Those two terms aren't even found in the Holy Bible. There is no such thing as “holy baptism” or “holy communion.” Martin Luther was so corrupt doctrinally, as an unsaved man his entire life, that he taught a person could get to Heaven without faith, just so long as they had been water baptized. Blasphemy!!! No one has ever gone to Heaven who ADDED water baptism to the Gospel.

So why do 99% of preachers and Bible colleges today foolishly 100% support, idolize and continue to promote Martin Luther as a hero of the Christian faith? It is not because they are ignorant. I have given the awful truth about Mr. Luther to numerous Baptist pastors, who couldn't have cared less, because it wasn't popular to go against their peers. SHAME ON ALL OF THEM!!! If I had my way, they'd all be fired and looking for employment! I am so sick and tired of phony, shallow, incompetent clergy who value “building a work” over telling the truth! This indifference problem is epidemic in Baptist churches today!

And even worse, the pastors I've kindly talked to were arrogant and filled with haughty pride. They'll listen, but they won't budge an inch. I have freely given hard copies of Michael P. Bowen's excellent book, “I Never Knew,” to multiple Baptist pastors, to try to open their eyes to the ungodly heresy of “turning from sinful ways” to be saved, which they teach in their churches. Yet, they disregarded the book. One pastor on Guam literally gave the book to his kids to play with. I'm not kidding! We need a revival of simply caring about the things of God, instead of the things of man! Building a church is the work of men, preaching the truth is the work of God! Kindly, Pastor Jack Hyles preached the truth, and God built the church; today, First Baptist Church of Hammond is building a church, and God is looking for someone to preach the truth! The King James Bible is inspired!

By the way, if the Spanish Bible is true to the Scriptures, then it is also inspired! I disagree with the radical teachings of Dr. Peter Ruckman and Dr. William P. Grady that the English King James Bible is the ONLY inspired Bible in the world, among 7,000 languages. The Word of God is inspired, and God's words remain inspired if they are translated accurately into whatever language. The words are inspired, not any language! Bill Grady teaches that the King James Bible was the product of multiple sources, a one of a kind phenomena, that (he says) cannot be repeated. If that be true, then everyone needs to learn English to understand God's Word. I do not believe that. I hold the Textus Receptus and Masoretic Hebrew to be God's inspired words. Most languages in the world still do not have God's Word. There is much work to be done! I have received multiple e-mails from web visitors, who desire to translate the Word of God into their own native language. I am not an expert on linguistics, so I dare not carelessly tread on holy ground. Translating the Word of God is a very, very, very, important and sacred task. I refer my web visitors to this dear missionary in China for translating.

By the way, every preacher in the world should be exposing Martin Luther for the massive fraud and religious con man he really was!!!

I am tired of being grouped together with Evolutionists and unbelievers by dishonest preachers like Ken Ham, Kent Hovind and Henry Morris III. Mr. Ham likes to selectively boast of his faith in the authority of God's Word, condemning Old Earthers as not believing the Bible. Yet, Ken Ham doesn't seem to believe that the love of money is the root of all evil. 1st Timothy 6:10, “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” Again, according to Charity Navigator, Answers In Genesis took in $36,834,815 in 2017. At the end of his sermon at the Temple Baptist Church, Ken Ham asks the people in the church to buy his books and materials. Wow, what a surprise! It's all about money, money, money! I have a problem with anyone who exploits a niche in Christianity to make a buck, which the authorized King James Bible calls “filthy lucre” (ill gotten money). Ken Ham takes in as much money per year as 222 churches!!! In 2017 Ken Ham took in as much money as 409 churches!!! Whoa! Folks, 409 churches!!! What is ONE MAN, in a parachurch ministry, doing with all that money??? If you're okay with that you are not right with God!

Ken Ham is a smooth operator, knowing just how to caress the audience with his words, a con man in every sense, compelling you to part with your money. Sadly, in the future many alumni of Crown Bible College will wake up, and look back shaking their head at the insanity of Ken Ham's bizarre claims being supported by Temple Baptist Church in February of 2019. Hey, I have an idea, why not invite Benny Hinn in March as a guest speaker at their church. I mean, why not, he's in the same racket! And then for April fool's day they can invite Evangelist Ray Comfort, who teaches the same corrupt false repentance as Ken Ham, which I'll get to shortly. Ken Ham is a dangerous false prophet!

Most Old Earth Adherents Don't Believe in a 1,000 Year Day

Another cheap and dishonest tactic used by Ken Ham (to try to discredit Old Earth adherents) is to accuse us of wrestling the Scriptures. In particular, Ken Ham mentions 2nd Peter 3:8, “But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” Mr. Ham says that he often hears professed Christians quoting this Bible verse, alleging that the 6 days of creation in Genesis are actually 6,000 years. This popular heresy says that mankind reached the 6,000 year mark in the year 2,000, and soon Christ will return, and then there will be a 1,000 year Millennium.

So this heresy is used to compel religious people to believe Christ will return very soon. Actor David White starred in the 1995 religious film, “End Of The Harvest,” which promotes this intriguing 6,000 plus 1,000 year prophetic idea. The simple truth is that the Holy Bible does NOT teach any of this! It sounds great, but it is nothing more than spiritualizing the Scriptures. Yes, there will be a 1,000 year Millennium, when Christ will reign from the city of Jerusalem over the entire earth. However, the Scriptures do not teach us that the time is now. It could be, or it might be quite some time before it happens, we simply do not know for certain, as the Bible says. Mark 13:33, “Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.”

Our sound doctrine as believers must be based upon the revealed Word of God, and not human speculation. Ken Ham is a deceiver, who talks out of both sides of his mouth. Mr. Ham attaches the truth that the Word of God should be our only authority, with his lie of a Young Earth. I've heard some critics say that where the Holy Bible is silent, we ought to be silent. This raises the question, is the Bible silent concerning the creation of the foundations of the earth? Psalms 102:25, “Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands.” David penned this (as he was moved by God's Holy Spirit) about 1,500 BC. I was never a follower of the Young Earth heresy, but I was neutral in the matter, because I thought that the Holy Bible was silent. When I behold all the evidence, and consider when the dinosaurs must have lived, and I view what the Bible says and does not say, I am compelled to conclude an Old Earth. I do believe that God remodeled the earth in six literal days in Genesis chapter one. But I also believe that the earth's foundation itself goes back millions of years, as legitimate geological science evidences. True science and the Holy Bible NEVER disagree!!! Ken Ham totally disregards science, except that he can wrestle science as he does the inspired Word of God to support his lies!

I strongly suggest that you listen to a wonderful and helpful Wednesday night Bible study series from the early 1970's, preached by Pastor Curtis Hutson, titled, DEMONOLOGY, in which he fully explains his reason for concluding an Old Earth Creation. I fully agree with Pastor Hutson's conclusions, and I am confident that you will too! ...

DEMONOLOGY (a 6 part MP3 Bible study by Dr. Curtis Hutson)

Believing in An Old Earth Does Not Deny a Literal 6-Day Creation (Remodeling)

One of Ken Ham's biggest arguments is that the Holy Bible plainly teaches a Young Earth Creation, and that any other teaching is wrong and sinful. Does the Holy Bible plainly teach a Young Earth Creation? We know that God created the world as we know it today in a literal six day period of time, and then God rested on the seventh day. However, there is much compelling Scriptural evidence that the foundations of the earth go back much earlier than the six days of creation in Genesis, which may have actually been a time of God remodeling the earth, preparing it for the human race. Genesis 1:1-2, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” The ongoing raging debate between Old verses Young Earth all hinges on how you interpret these two Bible verses.

Dear reader, you are a fool if you disregard science! The human race has always been easily duped, gullible and extremely impressionable, prone to doctrinal error. Ken Ham's heretical words roll down smooth from his mouth, in typical false prophet fashion. The thinking Christian takes into consideration both the Word of God and legitimate science. You're an idiot if you don't. Think about what I am saying. Ken Ham is so corrupt that he dismisses all science as being fallible and manmade, trumping the Word of God as even superseding legitimate science! My friend, God's Word NEVER goes against the laws of nature, unless God is working a MIRACLE. That is what a miracle is, God breaking His own laws of nature; such as, raising the dead, stopping the sun for a day, et cetera. The fact that Ken Ham dismisses legitimate science condemn him as a fool. Science evidences that dinosaurs lived 65 to 220 million years ago. Why is that so hard to accept?

I highly recommend that you read chapter 12, “THE REMODELING,” from Pastor Max D. Younce's insightful book...

The Truth About Evolution; Or Don't Let Satan Make A Monkey Out Of You! (Dr. Max Younce)

An Old Earth view does NOT deny God's work during six days. Ken Ham blames naturalism as the culprit for introducing heathen philosophies into the churches, but that is simply not true. In his carefully crafted deceptive sermon presented at Temple Baptist Church in February of 2019, Ken Ham does say many true things, which is what false prophets do! The best place to hide a LIE is between two TRUTHS! Ken Ham is correct that Evolution is a hoax. Mr. Ham is correct that there are a bunch of false prophets in the Bible universities today—who deny the flood of Noah's day, reject the book of Genesis, reject the literal six days of creation, and others who promote a false theistic type of evolution. I am against all of that! Pastor Curtis Hutson didn't believe any of that garbage either, nor does Pastor Younce, nor thinking Christians today, who of necessity have concluded an Old Earth. There is no other logical conclusion that you can arrive at than an Old Earth.

Please don't misunderstand. The human civilization began 6,000 years ago, but the foundations of the earth itself go back millions of years (as geology evidences). The belief of an Old Earth in no way denies the Scriptures! Logic proves an Old Earth. Proof of what I say are the absolutely hilarious, ridiculous, insane and non-plausible claims of Young Earthers that dinosaurs were brought aboard the ark, or ever coexisted with man. Since the Holy Bible says that God commanded Noah to bring two of every animal onto the ark, Ken Ham has no where to go, except to portray dinosaurs as being on the ark. It is ludicrous!

Ken Ham is a woeful deceiver! If Mr. Ham were an honest man, he would acknowledge that there are many Christians; such as myself and Dr. Hutson, who reject evolution, reject a 1,000 year day, reject the “isms” and “schisms” of the world and form our conclusions based upon a legitimate interpretation of the Word of God.

Something Very Important That You Need To Understand About Ken Ham

In a literal sense, the financial success or failure of Ken Ham's Ark Encounter hinges on his success or failure as a religious salesman. Ken Ham was able to convince a group of private investors to invest $120,000,000 for a 3-year project in Kentucky to build a replica (mockery) of Noah's Ark in the Holy Bible. Those private investors have stuck their necks way out, gambling a lot on Ken Ham selling his dog and pony show in Kentucky. So Mr. Ham is under tremendous pressure, and incentive for himself, to promote his Young Earth deception. In other words, Ken Ham is a businessman under pressure to produce! So he will say whatever it takes to sell you on his product. In my humble opinion, Ken Ham is no different than a shady used car salesman on a parking lot, who will tell you anything to make a sale, even if it means you will suffer a loss in the end.

In my opinion, the Ark Encounter is a sign of these apostate times, in which false prophets by the droves are exploiting Christianity to make money (what the Bible calls “filthy lucre”). Ken Ham is one of these wolves in sheep's clothing! Shame on any pastor and church who helps promote this con man! I am not writing this article to scold anyone; but rather, for your edification to warn people about Ken Ham and his blatant lies. Ken Ham openly rejects science as a whole, which in itself totally negates his unbiblical teachings. The Holy Bible is our only authority, but any person who makes claims contrary to known science is wrestling the Word of God. The Holy Bible never goes against legitimate science!

What makes Evangelist Ken Ham right? What makes Pastor Curtis Hutson right? What makes me right? What makes anybody right? Romans 3:4, “God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.” Folks, our final and only authority is the inspired Word of God. Ironically, Ken Ham says the same thing. However, it makes me sick to hear Ken Ham ranting as if only he has the proper interpretation of the Holy Bible. What makes Ken Ham's interpretation of the Holy Bible any more valid than Curtis Hutson's? When it comes to anybody who disagrees with him, Ken Ham deliberately associates them with every heretic imaginable, which is rotten, dishonest and totally false!!! KEN HAM IS THE HERETIC!!! Where is his proof of a Young Earth? I encourage every Christian to do your own research, and don't just accept whatever you're taught. Legitimate science is on the side of the those who believe in an Old Earth creation! Ken Ham foolishly disregards all science! This may sound great to a naive church member who doesn't know any better, but it is a lie! True science never opposes the Holy Bible.

As Christians we literally believe that Jonah was swallowed by a whale. We literally believe that the sun stood still for a day in Gideon's time. We literally believe that the Hebrews walked across the parted Red Sea on completely dry ground (not like the horrible 2014 religious film, “Exodus: God's And Kings,” in which actor Christian Bale, playing Moses, is waist deep in water crossing the Red Sea. That is sinful deception!). As Bible-believing Christians, we literally believe that David killed a lion with his bare hands. We literally believe that Jesus raised the dead, and that He literally raised up Himself after three days from the dead. We accept the Word of God at face value, not trying to naturalize God's miracles in the Scriptures as Hollywood sinfully does! And it is because of this very faith that we have in the inspired Word of God, that con men like Ken Ham find our weakness, and exploit it, using our own faith against us to believe in fire-breathing dinosaurs aboard the ark!

The following rebuttal of Ken Ham by an unsaved evolutionist is compelling, which is why I am sharing it. I do NOT agree with this man's evolutionary beliefs, but MUCH of what he says to expose Ken Ham as a liar is true. BOTH of these men are in error on several points, but this man does a good job of exposing Ken Ham as a fraud. Evolution and a Young Earth are all fraud!!! ...

True Science Verses Ken Ham's Ark Encounter: Episode 1 - An Introduction To “Hammonism”

True Science Verses Ken Ham's Insane Ark Encounter: Episode 2 - Archaeopteryx | 2 (fossil records)

THE TRUTH is that millions of God-fearing Christians around the world disagree on the matter of a Young or Old Earth Creation. THE TRUTH is that both sides of the debate can quote Scriptures to support their particular view.

Also, I would never take a cheap shot by trying to associate one's views of Creation with the Gospel, but that is what Ken Hovind and Ken Ham have shamefully done. They say that sin only came after the fall of man, so there couldn't have been an old earth. The Scriptures teach that Lucifer rebelled against God, and one-third of the angels followed Lucifer. Since Satan (the serpent - Revelation 20:2) was already present in the Garden of Eden, it is strong evidence in favor of an Old Earth. Dinosaurs lived millions of years ago in prehistoric times, just as legitimate science shows. There is credible scientific evidence to support an Old Earth, but NOTHING to verify a Young Earth! Both sides claim to have scientific evidence, but if you research diligently you will find that only an Old Earth is credible, and Young Earth scientific claims are bogus. The entire issue can be boiled down to this:

Also, Ken Ham quotes a bunch of statistics about young people leaving the churches, and he blames Old Earth adherents for shaking their faith in the authority of the Holy Bible. However, the opposite is true; Young Earthers and their teaching that dinosaurs lived 5,000 years ago has driven countless millions of thinking people far away from the Gospel. Don't take my word for it, listen to actor Matt Damon say it!

Ken Ham is making tons of money. He is a religious salesman. You dear churchgoer are his marketing base! Ken Ham's bizarre Ark Encounter would make a great new episode of The Outer Limits or The Twilight Zone!

Some Bad Preachers Also Use the Bible, Like Ken Ham Does, to Prove That the Earth is Flat

Ken Ham trumps the Holy Bible against legitimate science! The wise Christian find harmony between BOTH! Please don't misunderstand, where science and the Bible contradict, the Word of God is ALWAYS the winner! A perfect example of this is David Hoffman's “Common Man's Reference Bible”, in which he wrestles the Holy Bible to teach that the earth is flat! Is the earth flat? I mean, David Hoffman uses the Scriptures to evidence that the earth is flat. Ken Ham and David Hoffman ought to get together, because they're both guilty of wrestling the Scriptures!!! Science agrees with the Old Earth creation view! What else do you need to know? Are you dumb enough my friend to go against true science, which is the study of God's creation? I'm not!

Ladies and gentleman, there are numerous doctrines in our Christian faith that can only be deduced from comparing Scripture with Scripture. For example: Dr. John R. Rice (1895-1980) denied a place of “Paradise” for Old Testament saints, as does Pastor Steven Anderson, respectfully. Yet, Evangelist Oliver B. Greene (1915-1976) and other popular preachers did. I did an in depth Bible study on this subject, to evidence from the Scriptures that a place called “Paradise” did exist. I won't get into the details here, because you can read the preceding article for yourself, which I think is compelling Scriptural evidence that Old Testament saints didn't go directly to Heaven. It is the only logical conclusion that fits doctrinally, without violating other passages of Scripture. Kindly, this is why Pastor Steven Anderson teaches that Jesus burned in the fires of Hell for three days, because he has nowhere else to go doctrinally by denying this doctrine. I explain all this in the preceding article titled, “Where Are The Dead?” I love Pastor Anderson, so I am not criticizing him, I am simply sharing what I believe to be Biblical, as he does.

Having made this point about the controversial doctrine of Paradise, in the same way, using deductive reasoning by comparing Scripture with Scripture, the only logical conclusion the thinking Bible student can come to us an Old Earth. The most popular teaching is the Gap Principle, which Pastor Curtis Hutson believed and taught in his 6-part Wednesday night Bible study called Demonology. Dr. Hutson taught this brilliant series while pastoring in Georgia, in which he explains the Gap Principle and why he believes in an Old Earth. I fully agree with Dr. Hutson's conclusions. Frankly, no other theory works doctrinally or scientifically except an Old Earth. The different Hebrew words used in Genesis chapter 1 concerning creation speaks volumes. If God created everything out of nothing throughout the 6 days of creation, then why did He choose to use different words? In Genesis 1:1 we find the Hebrew word bara, which is a very specific term, meaning something from nothing. In the beginning God made (Hebrew: bara) the heavens and the earth. But then God doesn't use that word again until He creates man and animals later in the chapter.

Dr. Max Younce explains this important topic very well in his insightful book titled, “The Truth About Evolution; Or, Don't Let Satan Make A Monkey Out Of You!” (.PDF). I highly recommend this book for everyone if you are undecided about the age of the earth. I encourage every student at Crown Bible College (and other Bible colleges) to read Dr. Younce's free book (unlike Ken Scam who always has something to SELL YOU! Dr. Younce has made all of his dozens of books freely available to anyone who wants them). It is amazing to me how Dr. Clarence Sexton will invite a sensational con man like Ken Ham, instead of a true Bible scholar like Pastor Younce to speak to his people. Oh how foolish (“brutish” the Bible says) today's pastors have become. Jeremiah 10:21, “For the pastors are become brutish, and have not sought the LORD: therefore they shall not prosper, and all their flocks shall be scattered.” Just because a man has a position as a pastor of a church does not mean that he seeks God. You can tell how much a pastor seeks God by how much he seeks THE TRUTH. Jesus told the Samaritan woman that God MUST be worshipped “in truth” (John 4:24b). For any pastor to let someone like Ken Ham get up behind the church pulpit, and teach a Young Earth Creation as if it were a proven fact, is no better than the ungodly people who teach the blatant lies of Evolution as if it were factual science. Where God's Word is silent we have no right to be dogmatic!

What does the Bible say? Psalms 102:25, “Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands.” That sounds pretty convincing to me, I don't know about you my friend. Did David understand that the earth was very old? Well, that's exactly what he just said! I personally think that the Bible is abundantly clear that the earth is very old, but I won't argue with anybody over the issue. Arguing sheds more heat than light. I believe what I believe, and am willing to share my beliefs with anybody who desires to learn, but I absolutely won't waste my time debating with people who have already formed their contrary conclusions. I have had to block a handful of web visitors out, sadly, because they were disparaging and offensive in their words, putting me down for my Old Earth beliefs.

In particular, Pastor Steven Anderson is intense, like I am, so he draws intense personalities to himself. There are some nuts in the Anderson camp, whom Brother Anderson does not agree with, but they exist. I have heard Pastor Anderson address this issue himself, letting folks know that there is a cult following out there, that he doesn't want any part of. I likewise have some nuts who have taken an interest in my handiwork in cyberspace. I love them all in the Lord, but I won't tolerate verbal abuse from anyone. I have lost several web visitors over my approval of Pastor Anderson's ministry, but that's okay, I am glad to support one of the greatest soulwinners in America! Pastor Anderson teaches a Young Earth Creation, but I respect his right to disagree and have his own beliefs and preaching. Ken Ham is a wolf! It is not hard to come to an Old Earth conclusion when you consider the retarded propositions of the Young Earth crowd.

Dr. John R. Rice (1895-1980) taught a Young Earth, but at least he was sensible enough to leave them off the ark. Brother Rice believed they died off, which I also think is ridiculous. Why would they die off? I mean, Bible theologians just make this stuff up, alleging wild claims that don't add up, at all. That is strong evidence toward an Old Earth, because everything fits an Old Earth view. As uncomfortable as it may be for some Christians, the puzzle pieces all fit together in an Old Earth view. To adopt a Young Earth view, you have to have a vivid imagination and be blind toward science!

The Hypocrisy of Pastors Today and the Authority of the Inspired Holy Bible

In the matter of a Young Earth view verses an Old Earth view, the Scriptures are not transparent. The same is true of whether or not there was a place in the Old Testament called, Paradise, where saints remained while awaiting Christ's death, burial and resurrection. This is why we are commanded by God “to study” the word of truth (2nd Timothy 2:15).

Over 95% of Bible colleges today teach that we DO NOT have an inspired Holy Bible today. Crown Bible College is no better. They are guilty of denying the inspiration of the King James Bible. ...

The Scriptures

We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the Bible, “as it is in truth, the Word of God…” (I Thessalonians 2:13). We believe in verbal, plenary inspiration in the original writings, and God’s preservation of His pure words to every generation (II Timothy 3:16, Psalms 12:6-8). We believe that the Scriptures are inerrant, infallible, and God-breathed. ... [emphasis added]

SOURCE: https://thecrowncollege.edu/about-crown/what-we-believe

In the original writings? What! Dear reader, consider that if God's words are only inspired in the original autographs, then we do not have an inspired Bible today! I have written several articles to defend the inspiration of God's Word, as did my mentor Pastor Jack Hyles. Brother Hyles was absolutely right about the King James Bible. So also was Dr. Al Lacy right about the King James Bible. Shame on today's apostate and cowardly pastors, who would rather go along to get along than stand up to defend the inspiration of the King James Bible. There is a demonic spirit of indifference in the churches today, as if it doesn't matter whether you believe Calvinism or a free grace Gospel. Only the latter is true. There is a demonic spirit of indifference in the churches today, as if it doesn't matter whether you believe that a person must turn from sins to be saved, or if a person can continue in sin and still receive the gift of God. Only the latter is true. And there is a demonic spirit of indifference in the churches today, as if it doesn't matter whether you believe the King James Bible is inspired or not. If it is not inspired, then what in the world is the value of preservation?

This is a heated debate nowadays, which is why pastors run away from it. The problem is that if the King James Bible is not inspired, then it cannot be infallible, perfect, inerrant and holy. I find it utterly hypocritical for any pastor to tout the authority of God's Word, while simultaneously denying that we have an inspired Holy Bible today! Crown Bible College, Pensacola Christian College, Ambassador Bible College, Faith Baptist Bible College And Theological Seminary, Bob Jones University, Moody Bible Institute and Hyles-Anderson College, to name but a few shameful religious institutions today—ALL deny the inspiration of the King James Bible!!!

So it doesn't surprise me that Temple Baptist Church, who denies the inspiration of the blessed King James Bible, would invite and honor a religious salesman the likes of Ken Ham from Australia. It is truly pathetic! We're supposed to expose false prophets (Ephesians 5:11), not bid them Godspeed and become partaker of their evil deeds. 2nd John 1:11, “For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.” Last year I heard Pastor Clarence Sexton get up and scold Dr. William P. Grady (which you can hear after his excellent sermon titled, “Seven Signs Of Pseudo-King James Bible Onlyism!”). Dr. Sexton scolds him for exposing the phonies at Pensacola Christian College; AND THEY ARE PHONIES!!! I have met their alumni personally, and was disgusted when a PCC intern (as they call them) rebuked me for exposing the modern Bible versions! PCC superficially claims to be King James Bible ONLY, but in reality they run like cowards from “THE BATTLE OF THE AGES” (as Pastor Jack Hyles called it). I really love Dr. Grady, but I am sincerely concerned about his salvation, and he is a Zionist shill. Preachers are more messed up nowadays than ever before!!! PCC is as shallow as can be, AWOL from the battle over the inspiration of God's Word. Not surprisingly, PCC also denies the inspiration of the King James Bible!!!

It is time for independent fundamental Baptist churches and their pastors to stop playing the church game, and get their hands dirty for the Lord. I cannot bring myself to attend any church that denies the inspiration of the King James Bible!!! That eliminates the First Baptist Church of Hammond, Indiana and Temple Baptist Church in Powell, Tennessee! Thank God for pastors who still believe and preach an inspired Holy Bible! The core foundation of the modern Bible-corrupting movement is the claim that we DON'T have an inspired Holy Bible today!!! Who says? You're wrong buster! If you don't have an inspired Bible in your hand, then YOU DON'T HAVE GOD'S WORD!!! The ridiculous claim that we have a preserved Bible in 2019, but it is not inspired, is of the Devil!!!!!! Kindly, Pastor Jack Schaap was a theological liar, who betrayed the Word of God in 2008, changing the century old position of First Baptist Church of Hammond, and the church is too proud today to mend that departure from the truth, playing it safe by siding with all the other apostates! Proverbs 16:5, “Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.”

Dr. Jack Hyles warned about anyone who questions the inspiration and accuracy of the King James Bible...

And brother, any time anybody ever casts any reflection upon the accuracy and the inspiration—verbal inspiration—of this Bible, I'll guarantee you he was inspired by the demons. I'll guarantee you! I don't care if he's got a 'reverend' in front of his name. I don't care if he has a clerical collar on. I don't care what school he's been to. He's of the Devil if he says that the Bible is not verbally inspired by God!” —Dr. Jack Hyles, a great quote from the awesome MP3 sermon titled, “Satan's Masterpiece” [emphasis added]

Kindly, it appears then that Pastor Jack Schaap was inspired by demons! And since FBCH today is still upholding Brother Schaap's error, the demons are still there! Please read my article, “Was Brother Hyles “Disrespectful” to People for Exposing Satan's Corrupted Bible Versions?” The Holy Bible is under attack like never before! Most of the churches are being deceived. Thank God for faithful men of God like Pastor Jack Hyles and Dr. Russell Anderson, who stand firm upon the inspiration and perfection of the beloved King James Bible!!! Everybody is scared these days. Pastors are scared to stand. Christians are afraid to question their pastors when they are wrong. Men are afraid of women. Women are afraid of men. Neighbors fear their neighbours. Our political leaders are afraid to fight the Zionist-controlled system. What has America deteriorated into? That giant erect phallus (i.e., the Washington Monument) overlooking the White House, signifies the hidden Masonic occult powers that control our government. I want off this insane planet! Even so, come, Lord Jesus!!!!!!!

So don't you dare talk about the “authority” of God's Word, you deadbeat pastors, who don't believe that we have an “inspired” English Holy Bible today!!! If it is not inspired, God's Holy Spirit does not speak through it! If the Bible is not inspired, then they are no more powerful than man's mortal words. The words that I am typing now are not inspired. They are the words of a sinful, imperfect and mortal man; but our great God gave us His immortal, eternal and powerful words, and for those “VERY PURE” (Psalms 119:140) words to remain as such they absolutely need to remain inspired. How can God's Words not be inspired? There is nothing in the phrase “given by inspiration of God” in 2nd Timothy 3:1b (which comes from one Greek word: theopneustos) that limits inspiration only to the original autographs. It was wicked, ignorant and errant religious scholars who first claimed that God's words are no longer inspired. Phooey on Evangelist Sam Gipp and his denial of the inspiration of the Holy Bible!!! Phooey on Crown Bible College and their denial of the inspiration of the Holy Bible!!! Phooey on Hyles-Anderson College and their denial of the inspiration of the Holy Bible!!! The inspiration of God's Word is at the butt end of staff and student jokes nowadays, instead of at the helm of our Bible colleges!!!

I am sick of pastors and Christians making light of Bible inspiration, like “What's the big deal?” It is a big deal to God, so big that “thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name” (Psalms 138:2). The heavenly Father elevates His Word above the precious name of Jesus!!! The reason why is obvious, because just as a man's name is only as good as his word, so is also true of God. Wake up from your slumber! The core idea behind the modern Bible-corrupting movement is that the Word of God is ONLY inspired in the perfect “original autographs.” That is the same LIE of the serpent that over 95% of today's ungodly Bible colleges teach, and they are primarily to blame for their corrupt graduates corrupting churches everywhere!!! You show me a man who denies the inspiration of the Holy Book from which he preaches, and I'll show you a preacher who lacks Holy Spirit fire!!!

Ken Ham Preaches a False Gospel of Reformation For Salvation

It is frightening that Pastor Clarence Sexton of the Temple Baptist Church in Knoxville, and other Baptist preachers today support and promote Mr. Ham's counterfeit Gospel. Our apostate churches have embraced Calvinists as if they are Christian brethren! Calvinism is NOT the Gospel!!! Turning away from sinful ways is NOT the Gospel.

Read what Ken Ham teaches...

The Free Gift of Salvation: Belief in Christ

Jesus, being the perfect sacrifice, offers the free gift of salvation. God loves you so much that He sacrificed His own unblemished Son to suffer the wrath against sin and die on the Cross. He commands you to repent (change your mind and turn from sinful ways) and trust in Him. [emphasis added]

SOURCE: https://answersingenesis.org/gospel/salvation/what-does-it-mean-to-be-saved/

Turn from sinful ways? That is NOT the Gospel of free grace through faith alone in Jesus Christ's death on the cross, burial and bodily resurrection. Anyone who tells you that you must turn from your sins to be saved is preaching ANOTHER GOSPEL. God saves us and then the Holy Spirit changes us! That is how it works Biblically. Anyone who says you have to be willing to change to be saved is a bold-faced liar!!! Ken Ham is a liar!

Dr. Harry Ironside (1876-1951) beautifully and correctly states:

“Which comes first, repentance or faith? In Scripture we read, 'Repent ye, and believe the gospel.' Yet we find true believers exhorted to 'repent, and do the first works.' So intimately are the two related that you cannot have one without the other. The man who believes God repents; the repentant soul puts his trust in the Lord when the Gospel is revealed to him. Theologians may wrangle over this, but the fact is, no man repents until the Holy Spirit produces repentance in his soul through the truth. No man believes the Gospel and rests in it for his own salvation until he has judged himself as a needy sinner before God. And this is repentance.” (Except Ye Repent, p. 16) [emphasis added]

Pastor Ironside is absolutely correct, repentance is judging one's self as a needy sinner before a holy God. Romans 3:19, “Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.” Clearly, repentance does NOT mean to turn away from sinful ways, which is what Evangelist Ken Ham errantly teaches.

Think for Yourself Young Person, Don't Become a Victim

I encourage you dear reader to run from Ken Ham and his dog and pony show! I wrote this article because my heart is grieved that false prophets are creeping into the churches. Whether you believe in an Old or Young Earth Creation, it won't affect your salvation. It is NOT a fundamental doctrine of the Christian faith. Clearly, it is an ongoing heated debate. Matthew 10:16, “Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.” People are like sheep, and they trust and follow their pastors. So if pastors today bid Godspeed to foolishness, then so will our people!

I am not asking anyone to take my word for it, do your own homework. I would have more respect for someone who simply says, “I believe in a young earth,” than I do for these corrupt shysters who claim that Noah condensed 700 species of dinosaurs (which Ken Ham says really amount to 55 different types of dinosaurs), into just TWO (which is what Ken Ham claims in his Ark Encounter exhibit, as I showed you earlier in the photo). 700 species dwindled down to just 2 dinosaurs? Are you also dumb enough to fall for Ken Ham's foolishness? I felt sick this morning when I saw Ken Ham speaking at Temple Baptist Church last month. It just ought not be! There is something very wrong with a guy who takes in $36,834,815 in one year, by exploiting a niche in Christianity, a parachurch ministry, operating a lucrative business that parasites off the churches.

By God's grace, I have received over 103,000,000 web visitors over the past 17 years since 2002, just at Jesus-is-Savior. Do you think I could have made money if I let people donate money to me? You better believe I could! I could make tons of money! It will never happen. Over my dead body!!! I have NEVER taken one red cent for my ministry and never will. I had a dear pastor mail me a check for $200, but I didn't cash it, I sent it back with a kind 5-page letter thanking him, explaining that I decided years ago to serve God without taking a penny. I spend about $1,000 a year for my VPS hosting plans and domain renewals. That's not bad for seven websites! And with VPS (Virtual Private Server), my 1,000,000 web visitors per month get high-quality web service at my expense. I am privileged to do it. I have over 100,186 files on my websites. And yet I have seen Christian websites with 3 or 4 webpages, begging for donations to keep their work going. What liars! My reward is in Heaven!

The Holy Bible warns us to flee the love of money, but Ken Ham pursues it, like a greedy dog! I do not believe Ken Ham is a sincere man, because of his lust for money. His personal salary is $173,000 per year. Fireman, policeman, diesel mechanics... these folks are fortunate if they get paid $50,000 a year! Did you know that the average salary for a surgeon is $187,000 a year? If anyone deserves that kind of money, surgeons certainly do! Ken Ham, who has no formal theological education, pays himself as much as a skilled brain or heart surgeon, for doing nothing more than exploiting a niche in Christianity. 1st Timothy 6:10-11, “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.” Ken Ham has big financial plans for the future... A Tower of Babel!

Respectfully, Dr. Clarence Sexton says he constantly teaches his college students, “I don't want you preaching the cover, I want you preaching the Bible. A lot of 'em get on this issue and that's all they want to talk about, and they never learn the Word of God!” I am tired of pastors berating people for being “obsessed with” the Bible issue debate, as one shallow Pensacola Christian College (PCC) intern accused me of. This was a 45 year old pastor on Guam. That particular PCC intern admitted to me that he couldn't show me even one thing wrong with the modern Bible perversions. Yet, that little hypocrite puts me down for my zeal over the Word of God? That is a little man! Kindly, Pastor Sexton criticizes Bill Grady for his obsession with the inspiration of the King James Bible, while at the same time honoring a fool like Ken Ham who is OBSESSED with the Young Earth Creation issue!!! Is not the inspired Word of God a million times more important than anything else in this universe?

You know, even if I did believe in a Young Earth, I would be very reluctant to associate with the bogus dinosaur claims of charlatans like Ken Ham and Henry Morris III, because a person's weakest argument is also their weakest link. I mean, Ken Ham's Ark Encounter is a laughable joke, it really is. It appears that anything goes in our churches today! What next, will Dr. John MacArthur be invited to speak at Temple Baptist Church? Hey, I've got an idea, why not invite Johnny Nixon to present his “Born That Way After All” crap theology in May! I mean, really, Johnny Nixon is no better or worse than Ken Ham! The Crown Bible College students would love it... Heeeeeeere's Johnny! I am not trying to be unkind. We're all messed up in one way or another, we sure are! I am messed up to, admittedly. I am an imperfect person, just like you! Every Christian has some kind of issue, if nothing more than a male being a wuss who doesn't have any gonads to stand for anything! There is not one perfect man, woman, preacher, Christian or church. I love something that Brother Hyles said...

“If we could ever hate the sin in ourselves as much as we hate the sin in others, we might have some idea what His [God's] Book is all about.” —Pastor Jack Hyles (a quote from page 322 of the awesome biography of Dr. Hyles titled, “The Fundamental Man,” by Mrs. Cindy Hyles Schaap)

I visited a church for the first time in Gulf Breeze, Florida, last year and the senior pastor literally stood 50 feet away across the church auditorium starring at me. He was reluctant to come over and talk to me. I don't want people to be afraid of me because of my website ministry. I am just a normal guy with a lot of strong opinions. Brother Hyles used to rightly say, “There are more opinions per square foot in this chapel at Hyles-Anderson College, than there are anywhere else in the world!” Dr. Hyles was so right! I admit that I am very intense and opinionated. God wants us HOT, or COLD, but not LUKEWARM. Sadly, 99% of churches today are either LUKEWARM or DEAD, not even cold!

I am just an unworthy sinner. I love everyone! I really didn't want to write this article. I feel a kinship to First Baptist Church of Hammond, Gospel Light Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, North Carolina; and Temple Baptist Church in Knoxville, because I am one of them. Those are my roots. But the Holy Scriptures command believers to “stand” (Ephesians 6:12), and to “contend” (Jude 1:3), and to “rebuke” (Titus 1:13), and to “refute” (Ephesians 5:11). Sadly, the churches are changing for the worse, not standing anymore for the truth. Ken Ham is not a godly man! I am a nobody, just a voice in the wilderness of cyberspace, but I am of THE TRUTH. To debate one's beliefs sensibly is one thing, but to make bizarre and wild speculations in Jesus' name that go against science is entirely another. Ken Ham's Ark Encounter circus displaying Noah bringing dinosaurs aboard the ark is wild science-fiction! Granted, Ken Ham has every right to his own opinion, and his dog and pony show; but I also have a right to expose him as a false prophet, and to warn churches and Christians everywhere to run away from this religious con man, who desperately wants your hard-earned money.

One envious pastor last year accused me of thinking I am an apostle. Although delighted that he would think that about me, it saddens my heart that he felt that way. The apostle Paul told Titus to, “Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith” (Titus 1:13). Titus was not an apostle either, yet he had the Biblical authority (which is the Word of God itself - Romans 3:4) to criticize heresy and heretics! That is all I am doing. I am 100% against the false notion that church pastors have some special kind of “authority” that laymen don't have. Dr. John MacArthur is right about one thing, the pastor has NO AUTHORITY, other than he influences his congregation with the inspired Word of God. The Holy Bible is the ONLY authority, not the Church! The Head of the Body (Church) is Jesus Christ. Colossians 1:18, “And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.” Your pastor has no authority in your life!

Conclusion of the Matter

In conclusion, I cannot say with all Biblical certainty that the earth is millions of years old (although geology evidences a very old earth). I personally believe that the earth is billions of years old. THE TRUTH is that many great men of God over the past century have believed BOTH ways. My big problem with Ken Ham, Kent Hovind and Henry Morris III is that they blatantly go against legitimate science, and make bizarre claims of baby dinosaurs with stunted growth on Noah's ark, and fire-breathing dragons, and that of 700 known and named dinosaur species only 2 were brought onto the ark, et cetera. They do this because they CANNOT support their theories with the Word of God! I get frustrated when I see Christians who are fully capable of thinking, not thinking, just going along for the ride. What many churchgoers do is decide what they believe (which is basically what they are told to believe), and then look for justification for the decision they have already made. That is dishonest! This is why, no matter what evidence you show such a foolish person, their mind cannot be changed!

I don't have a problem with a Christian concluding a Young Earth Creation (even though I don't agree with it). I do have a problem with anyone who says Noah took dinosaurs aboard the ark, because that simply DIDN'T HAPPEN!!! I absolutely hate what Kent Hovind, Ken Ham and Henry Morris III are doing, exploiting the Word of God for filthy lucre! I truly feel sorry for the students at Crown Bible College, who are being subjected to the crap Ken Ham is SELLING! It makes me angry when a con man like Ken Ham, wrestles the Scriptures, sensationalizes the story of Noah's ark, distorts the truth, falsely claims that Noah brought dinosaurs onto Noah's ark, and markets it to make hundreds of millions of dollars! Ken Ham alone has made $100,000,000 over the past 5 years!!! What an evil man!!! Ken Ham is selling his speculative theories, manipulating naive churches, claiming as fact what he cannot prove Biblically nor scientifically! That is very wrong! Ken Ham wrongly accuses anyone who disagrees with him as going against God's Word. No, Mr. Ham is going against God's Word! There is NOTHING in the Scriptures about dinosaurs!

Sadly, Campus Church at Pensacola Christian College foolishly promotes Evangelist Ken Ham and his false doctrine. Ken Ham falsely preaches that to be saved you must repent and turn away from your sinning. Kindly said, but truthfully, Jeff Redlin and Timothy Zacharias are incompetent pastors for promoting Ken Ham! These ungodly men preach that repentance results in a change of behavior, which is NOT the Gospel. That is their official doctrinal position at Campus Church, which they teach in their Foundation's Class for all new church members. By the way, Campus Church seriously needs to repent concerning how they treat people at PCC.

When the Roman jailor asked what he must do to be saved, Paul and Silas simply told him to "BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, AND THOU SHALT BE SAVED" (Acts 16:30-31). Paul and Silas didn't tell the man to repent of his sins! This is because repentance is automatic in getting saved. If you tell someone to please go to the store, you don't have to first tell them to change their mind to leave the house first. That is obvious, assumed and automatic. If you tell someone to please go to the store, all they need to do is GO! Bible repentance is simply "a change of mind," nothing less or more. It is a change of mind from unbelief to belief. Matthew 21:32, "For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him." Carefully notice that the Bible doesn't say they repented not to turn away from their sins; but rather, they repented not to BELIEVE. Had they repented (i.e., change their mind) they would have BELIEVED.

Likewise, Jesus said in John 6:28-29, “Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.” The dear Savior Himself taught that the way to be saved is simply to BELIEVE ON HIM. So where did Jeff Redlin and Tim Zacharias at PCC get the Satanic idea that your behavior must change if you've really repented? That's right, Satan! Do you know why PCC is now preaching that junk theology? It is because they have crawled into bed spiritually with the Bob Jones University crowd and have been infected with STD's (Spiritually Transmitted Diseases).

Galatians 4:16-17, "Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth? They zealously affect you, but not well; yea, they would exclude you, that ye might affect them." What a damning Scripture against the PCC and BJU camps! Pensacola Christian College has been zealously affected by the Bob Jones crowd, but not well. BJU today is a cesspool of Calvinism (aka, Lordship Salvation), Devil's Bibles, misunderstood repentance, worldliness and apostasy!!! So why would PCC sinfully bid Godspeed to those devils (2nd John 1:11)? Jesus told us the answer in Luke 16:13, "No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon."

It is a shame that so many believers today are reluctant to criticize PCC and BJU, because these failing institutions are setting the stage for the next generation of church leaders across America and the world. We are in trouble in Christianity in America today! The Devil has subtle crept into our churches through the Bible colleges. BJU preaches hardcore Lordship Salvation. It is a big deal. It is a big problem! Tragically, PCC bids Godspeed to the Bob Jones camp.

When I warned Pastor Sean Quinlan on Guam on 2018 that Harvest Baptist Church preaches hardcore Calvinism, he sinfully said: "It is none of our business what goes on at Harvest Baptist Church." Yet, I saw hundreds of folding chairs at Lighthouse Baptist Church that Quinlan pastored, with the name "Harvest Baptist Church" on them. Pastor Quinlan had borrowed a bunch of chairs from Harvest. They are buddies! When I rebuked Pastor Quinlan, warning him that Harvest preaches Lordship Salvation. He horribly chucked and said: "They are our sister church at Harvest." Sister church? What a wicked pastor!

Folks, PCC is in bed with BJU, which is apostasy! We are commanded to "REBUKE THEM SHARPLY" who preach a false gospel (Titus 1:10-14), not jump into bed with them to commit spiritual whoredom!!! SHAME on Pastors' Jeff Redlin, Timothy Zacharias, Sean Quinlan and the whole rotten to the core Pensacola Christian College camp! And SHAME on Pastor Jeff Redlin for berating me last summer, falsely accusing me of "finding weaknesses" in the Bob Jones' corrupt preachers. In truth, I am exposing WICKEDNESS in these compromised preachers. To God be the glory. I am just a humble broken sinner saved by God's grace.

So where did Jeff Redlin and Tim Zacharias get the Satanic idea that your behavior must change if you've really repented? That's right, Satan! Do you know why PCC is now preaching that junk theology? It is because they have crawled into bed spiritually with the STD infected Bob Jones University crowd. In their case, "STD's" stands for Spiritually Transmitted Diseases." Galatians 4:16-17, "Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth? They zealously affect you, but not well; yea, they would exclude you, that ye might affect them." What a damning Scripture against the PCC and BJU crowd! Pensacola Christian College has been zealously affected by the Bob Jones crowd, but not well. BJU today is a cesspool of Calvinism (aka, Lordship Salvation), Devil's Bibles, misunderstood repentance and apostasy!!! So why would PCC sinfully bid Godspeed to that mess? Jesus told is the answer in Luke 16:13, "No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon."

Ken Ham has absolutely no Biblical authority for his insane dinosaur exhibits at the Ark Encounter. It is pure science fiction! The frightening thing is that Mr. Ham is telling the entire world that what he is doing is 100% Biblical, which it is anything but! Why, oh why, would any Bible-believing church sanction this foolish man's imaginative goofiness? Dinosaurs NEVER co-existed with mankind, that is abundantly clear, which means there must have been a world prior to the 6-days of remodeling in Genesis chapter one. A lot of Christians are scared to think of anything else. That is fine. If you choose to keep things simple and avoid delving into the speculative, that is fine. I have no problem with that. However, false prophets like Ken Ham are sensationalizing and manipulating the Scriptures, because they cannot use the Scriptures alone to support their heresy. If, as Ken Ham claims, the Word of God is our only authority (and it most certainly is), then why does he need all those crazy dinosaurs exhibits? Why all the hype and unbiblical rhetoric? I'll tell you why, because the earth is very old, going back millions of years as science evidences, and the Young Earth crowd are wrong!

Thank you for reading this, sincerely.
